19 08 2013

Burson Auto Parts is delighted to announce a number of store acquisitions and the establishment of new greenfield sites which have increased the Burson Auto Parts store network to 114 locations.

Store openings in Peakhurst and Carlton in NSW, Labrador in QLD and Coolalinga in the Northern Territory, as well as store moves and merges in both Bayswater and Richmond in Victoria, Wetherill Park in NSW and Townsville in Queensland mark an exciting period of continued and sustained growth for the company.

Marking the 110th and 111th stores and the final store acquisitions of the existing Precision Auto Spares group in Sydney’s east, the Peakhurst and Carlton sites began trading under the Burson banner on September 30 and November 9 respectively. Anticipating considerable growth to the existing Peakhurst business, the original acquired site has been relocated to a much larger nearby premises.

A new greenfield site in the South Eastern Queensland suburb of Labrador marks the 26th Burson Auto Parts store in Queensland, as well as the 112th in the network. This store opening heralds the growing prominence of Burson Auto Parts in metropolitan Queensland. Opened on November 25, automotive repairers in the region now enjoy consistent high levels of service and access to premier quality parts, tools and workshop equipment that Burson Auto Parts is renowned for.

The Australian company has also opened its third Burson Auto Parts store in the Northern Territory with the recent acquisition of Coolalinga Car Parts in Darwin, reaching more trade customers in the growing region.

Burson Auto Parts has also added the first new Victorian store to the network in 12 years, with a greenfield site in the outer eastern Melbourne suburb of Pakenham. Opening in mid-December, Burson Auto Parts Pakenham will continue to extend the Burson Auto Parts quality offering and detailed customer service to Melbourne’s Eastern fringe.

Burson Auto Parts CEO Darryl Abotomey has welcomed the new Burson sites across Australia’s east coast, and explains that it is only a taste of what is to come in 2014.

“The rate of growth that we have experienced over the past twelve months is the result of the dedicated hard work of our teams across Australia coupled with the loyal support of our valued trade customers. We have been focussed on extending the Burson Auto Parts reach across the east coast, while improving our current locations with mergers in Wetherill Park, New South Wales and Bayswater in Victoria, to bring improved service and quality products to our trade customers in those areas,” Mr Abotomey stated.

“Additionally, we’ve relocated our stores in both Richmond (VIC) and Townsville (QLD) to best represent our quality suppliers and to provide more efficient service to our customers in those areas. We have also developed a concept store in the northern Melbourne suburb of Campbellfield, to improve our in-store experience and display range,” Mr Abotomey added.

Growth projections are planned to continue into 2014, guided by the same service values which have made Burson Auto Parts a true blue Australian success story for more than four decades.
