Burson Auto Parts Continues East Coast Growth

14 11 2012

November 14, 2012 – After reaching the milestone of 100 stores in mid 2012, Burson Auto Parts has continued to grow by way of store acquisitions and greenfield sites in both New South Wales and Queensland.

Two new Burson Auto Parts stores joined the group in Sydney located at Brookvale and in Castle Hill. There are now 28 Burson Auto Parts stores in New South Wales, with the Sydney stores servicing automotive repairers extremely well by carrying some 110,000 line items.
Castle Hill was selected to complement Burson Auto Parts’ presence and distribution in the region, servicing repairers through to Baulkham Hills, Dural and West Pennant Hills as well. Management of the Castle Hill store is handled by former Burson Smithfield and Blacktown store manager Peter Harrison, heralding the return of a local who is very well known to the area’s automotive repairers.

The Brookvale store joins the Burson family in response to major demand from workshop owners in the Northern Beaches area and its surrounds who are seeking the premium quality big brands that Burson Auto Parts is synonymous with. Highly experienced former Parramatta 2IC Greg Spelman brings major experience to the management of this store

Burson Auto Parts has also established a significantly stronger presence on the Queensland Sunshine Coast with the acquisition of five former Car Bits stores.

The company has also acquired Mackay based Direct Auto Supply, which will join the ever growing Burson Auto Parts network as of December 1, 2012. This has been a family run business for the past 38 years and during this time it has become the pre-eminent aftermarket parts supplier in Mackay, servicing Mackay and the surrounding districts of North Eastern Queensland. All of the current staff will join the Burson team, bringing their customer relationships and invaluable aftermarket knowledge to the company.

Burson Auto Parts’ national expansion provides more opportunity for more customers to take advantage of the company’s extensive product range and large network. Burson’s suppliers will also benefit from a wider and continually increasing market exposure for their products.

According to Burson Auto Parts CEO, Darryl Abotomey, “We are growing at an unprecedented rate in the history of this company. It is all about finding locations that best service automotive repairers in each region by providing all the major brands that they know and trust, great advice, excellent staff and value for money prices. We will have more exciting news about the further national growth of Burson Auto Parts soon.”
