Burson Auto Parts National Expansion

02 07 2015

Burson Auto Parts has become national in 2015, creating a new milestone for Australia’s preferred automotive parts, tools and equipment supplier to the automotive trade.

The most exciting of the new additions to the Burson Auto Parts’ national store network are the three inaugural Western Australian stores located in the Perth suburbs of Malaga, Belmont and Osborne Park. These new stores bring Perth automotive repairers the same quality service, accompanied by the biggest and best product brands, that have made the company such a highly trusted parts, tools and equipment supplier across the Nullabor for more than four decades.

Burson Auto Parts’ first store in Western Australia opened on June 2 at Unit 1, 673 Marshall Road, Malaga. This 1,200 square metre super-store carries more than twice the normal range of parts, tools and equipment, geared to best service the local automotive trade.

The second new Western Australian store is located at Unit 2, 182 Abernethy Road in Belmont and opened its doors in mid-June. This is another super-sized store at 1,000 square metres, featuring the same vast product range as the Malaga store. The third new Western Australian Burson Auto Parts store is located at Unit 2, 40 King Edward Rd, Osborne Park. Excellent customer service is assured with the use of new inventory systems along with a brand new delivery vehicle fleet at all three Western Australian stores.

Burson Auto Parts’ national expansion continues in Queensland a new store located at 6 Villiers Drive, Currumbin. Opening its doors on June 9, this 500 square metre store had been well established in the area as Cheapa Auto Spares for two decades. All of the staff have joined Team Burson, ensuring that long term local trade customer relationships and renowned levels of service continue well into the future, bolstered by Burson Auto Parts’ vast parts, tools and equipment range.

The second new sunshine state store is located at 14 Spanns Road, Beenleigh, providing automotive repairers located in Brisbane’s southern suburbs with a brand new choice for expert service and premium quality automotive parts, tools and equipment. The Burson Auto Parts Beenleigh team is led by the highly experienced Luke Spoor, former assistant manager of the company’s Slacks Creek store.

Two Burson Auto Parts store relocations have also taken place in Queensland to provide better customer service through larger, newer and more efficient premises and delivery fleets. The Browns Plains store has moved to 67 Eastern Road, Browns Plains, while the Slacks Creek store has relocated to the central location of 3407 Pacific Highway, Slacks Creek.

Burson Auto Parts also welcomes Rockhampton to the company’s national store network with a brand new 850 square metre outlet at 134 Alma Street, Rockhampton. This new central location provides Burson Auto Parts with access to automotive trade customers from both the north and south of Rockhampton and is headed by manager John Cawthra who brings some 13 years of automotive trade service experience to this new store.

All of Burson Auto Parts’ existing and new Queensland stores also greatly benefit from the logistics efficiencies provided by the company’s newly established 8,000 square metre Brisbane distribution centre. This state of the art facility, combined with Burson Auto Parts’ existing Melbourne distribution centre, provides over 23,000 square metres of parts distribution capability for parts, tools and equipment from over 1,000 suppliers, covering more than half a million part numbers to the national store network.

Burson Auto Parts will soon also be in the Australian Capital Territory with a brand new store located in Canberra. Slated for opening in late July, the first ever ACT Burson Auto Parts store will be managed by Anthony Edwards, who has been promoted from his 2IC role at the Wagga Wagga store where he was based for the past eight years.

The southern New South Wales coastal city of Wollongong also has a new Burson Auto Parts storel that opened its doors on June 3. This is another new location at Unit 1, 103-107 Auburn Street, Wollongong. This centrally located 510 square metre store is managed by the highly experienced Martin Saffrett who previously managed the Carringbah, Botany and Peakhurst stores. Wollongong and the surrounding areas’ automotive repairers are being taken care of by an enthusiastic team of six people, also armed with a brand new delivery vehicle fleet.

Regional Australia is an integral part of Burson Auto Parts’ national expansion and the company is pleased to include the South Australian town of Murray Bridge to the store network. This 360 square metre store is located in a new building on the central Adelaide Road, nestled within the hub of the town’s main street. Former Mount Barker store manager Steve Korn has relocated to Murray Bridge to run this store and oversee a five person team, ensuring the continuation of strong customer relationships within the region.

Burson Auto Parts also extends the Australian company’s presence in the New South Wales mid-west region with a new store in Orange. Located at 74 Peisley Street, this 500 square metre, two level store joins the network following the acquisition of the long established and successful Midstate Spares business. Two original members of staff have joined Team Burson enhancing existing customer relationships, while former Gosford store 2IC Steve McVie celebrates a decade with Burson Auto Parts as the Orange store manager. He leads an enthusiastic initial local team of four people who will ensure that automotive trade customers in the region are provided with the service, expertise and attention to detail that Burson Auto Parts is renowned for.

According to Craig Magill, Burson Auto Parts General Manager – Operations, “The strategic national growth of Burson Auto Parts is an integral part of this independent Australian company’s goal to be the country’s preferred supplier of parts, tools and workshop equipment to the automotive trade on a truly national basis. With every new Burson Auto Parts store, we are reaching more of Australia’s automotive repair trade with the biggest and best brands, the highest level of customer service and competitive pricing.”
