BURSON AUTO PARTS REACHES 150 STORE MILESTONE

December, 2016 – Australia’s most trusted supplier of parts, tools and equipment to the automotive trade, Burson Auto Parts (which is a part of the publicly listed Bapcor Limited), heads towards the end of 2016 having reached an important milestone in the history of this highly successful locally owned company.

The final quarter of 2016 saw Burson Auto Parts reach the milestone of 150 stores across Australia, expanding the company’s reach to include more automotive repairers across the nation.

Burson Auto Parts embarked on a national branch expansion program that saw the Australian company cross the Nullabor and achieve extraordinary growth in Western Australia two years ago. A strategic approach to new store locations, designed to best service the automotive repairers in each specific region, has resulted in significant Burson Auto Parts growth in recent years.

Burson Auto Parts reached 100 stores in 2012, continuing their store expansion program that saw the company reach all Australian states and territories by 2014. The store growth across the past two years has included a combination of existing store acquisitions along with the establishment of larger green field sites, located where the most automotive repairers for each area can be most efficiently reached.

According to Bapcor CEO Darryl Abotomey, “Our strategy behind increasing the Burson Auto Parts store network is to target the areas where our current and new trade customers need us to be. It isn’t about having the most stores, but it is all about providing the best possible service to our trade customers. We are proud to have reached and in fact gone beyond 150 stores, providing employment opportunities and ensuring supply of highest quality parts, tools and equipment to the trade across the nation.”

Some of the newest additions to the Burson Auto Parts store network can be found in Gladstone and Atherton in Queensland, while in New South Wales new stores have opened in Hornsby, Morisset, Griffith, Taree and Raymond Terrace.  Western Australia’s newest Burson Auto Parts stores are located at Midvale and Joondalup.

Burson Auto Parts is committed to ensuring that the Australian company’s status as the automotive trade’s preferred supplier of parts, tools and equipment continues to grow well in the future.
