Australia’s own Burson Auto Parts has set a new benchmark in group event excellence following the company’s outstanding 2018 Conference, held as a major component of the 2018 Bapcor Group Convention.

Conducted at the magnificent Marina Bay Sands Resort and Expo Centre, the premier hotel, entertainment, restaurant and shopping attraction of Singapore, the Burson Auto Parts conference saw 160 managers travel to the Asian country, joined by more than 60 Burson Auto Parts’ supplier companies from April 15 to 20, 2018.

Burson Auto Parts places a major emphasis on the training, development and motivation of its hard working team of staff across the country. To this end, the Australian company ensured that all Burson Auto Parts store managers could gain the most from their involvement in this conference. This commitment included six specifically designed training workshops, coupled with some enjoyable team building activities.

The large contingent of Burson Auto Parts’ suppliers at the conference ensured education, advice and assistance to store managers throughout the event, with an exclusive trade exhibition area established for the company at the Sands Expo Complex.

Enhancing the social interaction of the entire Burson Auto Parts store management team was also a key aspect of this major event. Social events included a number of culturally inspired Singapore dining events that culminated with the Gala Awards Dinner, held at the Sands Expo Ballroom on Friday April 19. This massive event linked the Burson Auto Parts team with their counterparts from the Bapcor Group in a mammoth 900 person gala awards night that proved to be a major highlight of the five day event.

Team building events also formed a major part of this enjoyable and educational convention. These included some highly competitive Dragon Boat Racing, a competitive event that pitted Burson’s best against their Bapcor Group family members. These included New Zealand brother company BNT, along with teams from their retail cousins Autobarn, Autobarn Corporate and Autopro, with the Burson Auto Parts team emerging victorious.

A detailed session with outstanding motivational speakers Troy and Zara brought yet another training element to the conference, while the business sessions included a look into the exciting future plans for Burson Auto Parts.

Feedback gained from the Burson Auto Parts’ store managers and leadership team who took part in the company’s 2018 conference has been nothing short of extraordinary, according to Craig Magill, Burson Auto Parts Executive General Manager.

“The feedback that we have received following our conference is without any doubt the most positive ever. We couldn’t be more pleased with its success, which has enhanced the already strong camaraderie that exists amongst our highly talented store management team, our suppliers and senior management,” Mr Magill stated.

These sentiments were also reflected by the Burson Auto Parts store managers themselves.

“I absolutely loved it. The conference was non-stop, we went from activity to activity, which kept it interesting as we weren’t solely focussed on product information. There was so much more to it than that. The motivational session by Troy and Zara was a definite highlight, it really made us look at things from a different perspective. Craig Magill believes that the major advantage of organising such a detailed conference at such a great location, was being able to emphasise the importance of each individual person who makes up the Burson Auto Parts national store management team.

The 2018 conference was a shining example of this philosophy in practice across the week that we spent together in Singapore.
