Burson Group Ltd goes public

24 04 2014

Yet another major step in the true blue Aussie success story that is Burson Auto Parts has today taken place.

Burson Auto Parts, one of Australia’s fastest growing automotive aftermarket companies, has listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as Burson Group Limited, making it a publicly owned company, as of Thursday 24th April 2014.

Burson Auto Parts has achieved extraordinary growth and outstanding sales success by being fiercely independent, by adhering to its trade customer focus, by not competing with its customers and by providing unparalleled service to its loyal customers across the nation.

The Australian company has set the target of reaching a total of 175 stores across the country within five years. Burson Auto Parts is tracking well on this goal, given that the company currently owns and operates a total of 116 stores.

According to Burson Auto Parts Chief Executive Officer, Darryl Abotomey, “By becoming a public company, Burson Auto Parts gains the ability to significantly increase our national footprint and therefore provide better service to more trade customers, while remaining a totally independent Australian owned and operated company. We will be the only national trade focussed parts distributor in the Australian automotive aftermarket.

“We will continue to maintain our strong trade customer focus which has been the cornerstone of this company’s success over the past four decades. We do not compete with our workshop customers, we are in the business of providing our trade customers with excellent service, the widest range of trade parts, prompt availability and delivery, knowledgeable staff and developing strong relationships with both our customers and our suppliers,” Mr Abotomey stated.

This next stage of the Burson Auto Parts success story will see significant investments made in the expansion of the company’s product inventory, the upgrading of stores, the development of greenfield sites, store acquisitions and of course the employment of more Australians to join Team Burson as a career proposition.

It is also important to note that the same senior management team that has strategically crafted the company’s impressive growth in recent years will remain at the helm of Burson Auto Parts when it becomes a public company.
