Cams and Burson Auto Parts Come Together for Motor Sport

07 07 2015

CAMS and Burson Auto Parts have joined forces in a partnership focussed on supporting grass roots motor sport in Australia, particularly at junior and club level.

CAMS Chief Executive Officer Eugene Arocca was proud to announce the new partnership. Arocca stated: “This is great news for our 512 affiliated clubs and tens of thousands of members who take part in motor sport at grass roots level each weekend. This partnership with Burson Auto Parts will underpin our efforts to grow participation by supporting our clubs to develop and grow.”

Burson Auto Parts GM Sales and Marketing Damien Hill was excited to join with Arocca in announcing the partnership.

“We are excited to partner with CAMS to support Australian motor sport.  We think it is a great fit and look forward to working with Eugene and his team,” Hill said.

“Burson continues to grow and develop as an organisation and working with CAMS will open a number of opportunities to engage our customers – many of whom are motor sport participants and CAMS Members. As an Australian business we are excited to be actively supporting the future of motor sport in this country.”

As part of a grass roots development program, Burson will support the CAMS State Future Star Award. Established in 2014, the Future Star is awarded to a junior CAMS Member from any motor sport discipline who is aged under 21 and has achieved outstanding competition results in a CAMS National Championship.

In 2015, the award will be presented at all CAMS State Award functions as the Burson Auto Parts Future Star Award. All state Burson Auto Parts Future Star Award winners then have the chance to be selected as the National Burson Auto Parts Future Star Award winner, with the award presented at the CAMS Motor Sport Awards.

Burson will also support the CAMS Club Development Fund, along with existing CAMS partners Penrite Oil and Famous Insurance. The fund was established in 2015 to support clubs running Come and Try Days, Junior Development events and establishing new events. Already in 2015, funding has been committed to 35 events, catering for over 500 new and junior participants.

CAMS Members will also gain access to a special offers at Burson as part of the Member Rewards Program
