Second Mackay store joins the Burson network

24 01 2013

January 2013 – Burson Auto Parts is now the largest automotive aftermarket supplier in the Mackay region, following the acquisition of its second Mackay store this month.

Burson Auto Parts’ existing Mackay store, Burson Direct Auto Supply, is now joined by long standing Mackay automotive and industrial parts store, Geoff Walsh Engine Parts (GWEP).

GWEP is a family run business that was established in 1984, earning it a remarkable level of regional goodwill through repeat business built on excellent products and customer service.

Burson Auto Parts has acquired the aftermarket parts side of the GWEP business, which is located in Chain Street, Mackay, while the industrial division of the business will still be operated by the Walsh family.

Both of the Burson Auto Parts Mackay stores will operate under the leadership of the highly experienced Kurt Hendrix as Mackay manager.

“We welcome all of the GWEP automotive parts staff to Team Burson,” stated Burson Auto Parts CEO, Darryl Abotomey. “Becoming the largest automotive aftermarket supplier in the Mackay region provides expanded opportunities for both our customers and our suppliers as they benefit from wider market exposure for their products,” he added.

This latest addition to the Burson Auto Parts store network in Mackay is testament to the Australian company’s commitment to continued growth.
