Covering several AFL clubs across the Victorian regional towns of Shepparton, Wangaratta and Echuca, including three major regional leagues, Burson Auto Parts has ensured a swift return to their 2020 season by easing the financial strain of adapting to new and strict health and safety guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Burson Auto Parts has supplied AFL Goulburn Murray with $8,000 worth of hospital grade sanitiser for use by the Shepparton District Junior Football League, the Goulburn Valley League and the Goulburn Campaspie Junior Football League, in a show of support and solidarity with these rural Victorian sporting communities.
“We are so grateful for the local business support provided by Burson Auto Parts to help keep us playing during these very challenging times,” stated AFL Goulburn Murray Commercial and Operations Manager Zara O’Keeffe.
“Burson Auto Parts is supporting local sport at junior levels by taking away the major cost burden of complying with strict health and safety guidelines, so all players and officials can take part while being as safe as possible. Supplying such a large quantity of hospital grade sanitiser ensures that every club from each of our three leagues can get back out onto the ovals for the remainder of the 2020 season,” Ms O’Keeffe added.
