Paddling Towards Glory: Hayden Moseley's Quest for Olympic Gold in 2032

DECEMBER 18th, 2023

Hayden Moseley, a 15-year-old Sunshine Coast local has his sights set on the 2032 Olympics and with the recent QLD Government Initiative YOURFOR2023, which identifies and maximises talented, hardworking athletes and par athletes to finding their ideal pathways into elite sports.

Hayden’s sport of choice is the single K1 Sprint Kayak, which he has been training and developing in over the last few years, in support if the Youfor2032 development programs. As any elite sport transitions from hobby to all consuming investment of time, passion, travel and of course financial, Burson Auto Parts stores have rallied around the Moseley family to support the sponsorship of Hayden’s Olympic goals.

Burson team members from surrounding Sunshine Coast stores will not only be donating $1800 but are conducting a raffle to raise money Hayden’s cause. Including well known brands such as Ryco, Milwaukee, Wesfil and Niterra to name a few. Burson strongly believes in giving back to its local communities as part of our “B Part of the Community” program which supports local sponsorship opportunities and initiatives.

A snapshot of the Youfor2032 program “Athletic ability coupled with a great attitude are the key ingredients required to excel in this program. We know there are many young athletes that are currently competing in sports that are not part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, or who may have a greater potential for success in another sport. We are aiming to help athletes find the sport/s that will give them the best opportunity to use their athletic strengths to succeed at the highest level.”
